What is a "variant" of a Linn product?

The variant indicates a different circuit board within the product.

In some cases, this can be due to a major product change, such as a Klimax DSM (2018 variant) to :: Klimax (2020 variant).

But in other cases, such as the Majik DSM (2020 variant) and the Majik DSM (2022 variant). These are the same release of product but with different layout circuit board to take in account components from different manufacturers or changes in the supply of the component. There is no change in the audio performance with these minor variants, only.
