These options are only a review of what MAY be available on your Linn DS/DSM.
All Linn DSM with HDMI input sockets
HDMI
- Totally disable HDMI sockets from operation
Pass-Through (Sleep)
- When the Linn DSM is in Sleep mode, the last HDMI audio/video is passed through to the TV/Projector.
"HDMI 2.0"/"ARC only" Products
Turn HDMI Off in Sleep
- When enabled, this will stop HDMI connection to the TV/Projector when the Linn DSM in in Sleep.
eARC mode
- Auto detection of eARC connection or
- Off/Disable eARC and only use ARC connection
- Some Manufacutuers need CEC enabled for eARC
CEC
- Enable Consumer Electronics Control of the Linn DSM
- When you have the ARC enabled on your TV and the Linn DSM is listening to your TV via the HDMI ARC input, this will pass through the Volume, Mute & Standby commands from your TV Remote to control the Linn DSM.
CEC Auto Source / Power Control (removed from Davaar 116)
- Enable to auto-switch to TV ARC connection and action TV standby if CEC commands are available.
DSM Turns on TV1
- ENABLED: When the Linn DSM selects ARC source this will bring the TV ON, (out of Standby).
- DISABLED: When the Linn DSM selects the ARC source the TV is unaffected.
TV Turns on DSM1
- ENABLED: when the TV is brought out of Standby/turned ON, this will bring the Linn DSM out of Standby. (It will not, unless TV Switches DSM Source' enabled, switch the Linn DSM to the ARC input.
- DISABLED: When the TV is turned ON, the Linn DSM is unaffected.
TV Switches DSM Source1
- ENABLED: When the Linn DSM is out of Standby and the TV is turned on, and requests the ARC, this will change the Linn DSM source to ARC.
- DISABLED: When the Linn DSM is out of Standby, , the Linn DSM is unaffected.
DSM Turns Off Other Devices1
- Off: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, everything else is unaffected
- TV Only: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, the TV also goes into Standby
- All devices: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, everything else on the HDMI/CEC bus also goes into Standby
Other Devices Turn Off DSM
- Off: When the anything on the HDMI/CEC bus goes into Standby, the Linn DSM is unaffected
- TV Only: When the TV goes into Standby, the Linn DSM also goes into Standby
- All devices: When the anything on the HDMI/CEC bus goes into Standby, the Linn DSM also goes into Standby
1 These operations are totally dependent on the TV operation, that is the TV sending and receiving CEC commands. Some of these operations may not work. This is not an issue with the Linn DSM but the TV's implementation of CEC control.
