A Passive system refers to a Linn audio system that uses the loudspeaker’s internal crossover. This internal crossover filters the incoming full range audio in to feed each loudspeaker drive unit independently. These passive crossover are typically basic filter using high power rated components. In Linn speakers these passive crossovers can typically be bypassed, by a Linn Retailer, and used with Aktiv or Exakt systems to improve sound quality.
