Linn Home Checks

• Run through these checks in the order described
• Use Kinsky on iPad or laptop to control DSs for these checks
• Final check will setup the default conditions which is how area should be left

TV in Bedroom Area

• Controlled with Harmony remote
• Check with Sky
  • [Activities -> Watch TV]
    • TV should turn ON
    • DS should switch to Sky source
    • Increase/Decrease volume
    • Watch/Listen to confirm OK
• Check with BluRay
  • [Activities -> Watch a DVD]
    • DS switches to Blu-ray source
    • BluRay player menu appears on TV
    • If disc inserted select BD-ROM, wait for playback
    • Increase/decrease volume
    • Watch/Listen to confirm OK
• Switch backto
  • [Activities -> Left Arrow -> Listen to Digital Music]
    • TV standby
    • DS switches back to Songcast (Kitchen)
    • Volume
    • Listen to confirm OK

Mac in Study Area

• Check AirPlay
  • iTunes start playback
  • AirPlay Study:Kiko DSM
  • Listen to confirm OK
  • Stop Playback in iTunes
  • Set AirPlay to Computer
• Check Kinsky
  • Ensure all 6 rooms are visible
  • Select Study with Radio source (should auto-play)
  • volume - listen to confirm OK
  • Check playback timer is incrementing
  • Reselect songcast / kitchen

TV in Study Area

• Currently not used

TV in Lounge Area

• Check with Sky
  • Turn on TV, ensure source is on HDMI ...
  • Turn on Sky and select BBC1
  • Set DS source to Sky (preset XX on IR handset)
  • Listen and watch to confirm OK
  • Switch off Sky box
• Check with BluRay
  • Start playback of BluRay (disc ???)
  • Listen and watch to confirm OK
• Check with PS3 - left watch my ps3

• Check AirPlay / Spotify
  • StarSpotify playing
  • AirPlay -> Kitchen
  • Chk OK
  • Back to iPad
  • Need to doc something here ---------------
• Check Kinsky
  • Ensure all 6 rooms are visible
  • Select Kitchen with Radio source (should auto-play)
  • Increase/Decrease volume - listen to confirm OK
  • Check playback timer is incrementing
• Setup defaults

** Radio - Linn Radio (Variety)

Laptop

• Check Songcast/Spotify
  • Turn on Songcast - select Kitchen as Listen-To device
  • Play track from Spotify - listen to confirm OK
  • Soncast Off
• Check Shared Playlists
  • playlist source
  • playback
  • load shared playlist into kitchen .....
• Check Kinsky (and NAS)
  • Ensure all 6 rooms are visible
  • Select Playlist source for Kitchen
  • Add audio tracks from Linn Home Music NAS
  • Play track - listen to confirm OK
  • Check playback timer is incrementing
  • back to radio

• Listen in all 6 areas to check radio is playing as expected
