• Enable Consumer Electronics Control of the Linn DSM

When you have the ARC enabled on your TV and the Linn DSM is listening to your TV via the HDMI ARC input, this will pass through the Volume, Mute & Standby commands from your TV Remote to control the Linn DSM.

NOTE:

1. If you get no audio, you may have to go into the TV settings and change the output from eARC to ARC

2 Davaar 116 will now open the CEC control from other HDMI devices to the Linn DSM and TV, and may cause issues you have not previously experienced. Your set-top box or Apple TV box will also be sending CEC commands.

If you have HDMI control or startup issues, you will have to go into your other HDMI devices and DISABLE any CEC control.. (All the products may need to be power cycled to use the new settings.)

CEC Auto Source / Power Control (removed from Davaar 116 after inclusion of the Surround module option, this was found to be non-functional)

• Enable to auto-switch to TV ARC connection and action TV standby if CEC commands are available.

DSM Turns on TV¹

• ENABLED: When the Linn DSM selects ARC source, this will bring the TV ON, (out of Standby).

- When the Linn DSM selects a non-video source, such as Radio, playlist, MM, this will put the TV back into Standby.

• DISABLED: When the Linn DSM selects the ARC source, the TV is unaffected.

TV Turns on DSM¹

• ENABLED: when the TV is brought out of Standby/turned ON, this will bring the Linn DSM out of Standby.

- This is coupled to the TV Switches DSM Source option.

- You need to ENABLE the TV Switches DSM Source to get the TV to switch the Linn DSM to the ARC input.

• DISABLED: When the TV is turned ON, the Linn DSM is unaffected.

TV Switches DSM Source¹

• ENABLED: When the Linn DSM is out of Standby and the TV is turned on, and requests the ARC.

- This will change the Linn DSM source to ARC.

- Switch to DISABLED if you do NOT the Linn DSM automatically switch to the ARC source.

• DISABLED: When the Linn DSM is out of Standby, , the Linn DSM is unaffected.

DSM Turns Off Other Devices¹

• Off: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, everything else is unaffected
• TV Only: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, the TV also goes into Standby
• All devices: When the Linn DSM goes into Standby, everything else on the HDMI/CEC bus also goes into Standby

Other Devices Turn Off DSM

• Off: When the anything on the HDMI/CEC bus goes into Standby, the Linn DSM is unaffected
• TV Only: When the TV goes into Standby, the Linn DSM also goes into Standby
• All devices: When the anything on the HDMI/CEC bus goes into Standby, the Linn DSM also goes into Standby

¹ These operations are totally dependent on the TV operation, that is the TV sending and receiving CEC commands. Some of these operations may not work. This is not an issue with the Linn DSM but the TV's implementation of CEC control.
