To have access to the full range of functionality in a Linn system, all components in the system must have firmware and software that is of the same Compatibility Family.
To check the Compatibility Family and firmware version of a product in a system, run Linn Config, select the product, then select the ‘Updates’ tab.
This table shows system compatibility across Linn’s products.

If any of the products marked with an asterisk are connected to each other via RS232, the functionality of the system will not be available when a DS player is added. Please refer to the DS Players and Unidisks document until further notice. The instructions on page 15 of the Klimax DS and Akurate DS setup manuals, relating to RS232 settings, are incorrect.
