Linn Home Checks

  • Run through these checks in the order described

TV in Bedroom Area

  • All operations controlled with the Harmony remote
  • Check with Sky
    • [Activities -> Watch TV]
      • TV turns ON
      • DS switches to Sky source
    • Increase/decrease volume, watch/listen to confirm OK
  • Check with BluRay
    • [Activities -> Watch a DVD]
      • DS switches to Blu-ray source
      • BluRay player menu on TV
    • If disc inserted select BD-ROM and wait for playback
    • Increase/decrease volume, watch/listen to confirm OK
  • Back to Music
    • [Activities -> Left Arrow -> Listen to Digital Music]
      • TV enters standby
      • DS to Kitchen (songcast) source
    • Increase/decrease volume, listen to confirm OK


Mac in Study Area

  • Check AirPlay
    • iTunes start playback
    • AirPlay Study:Kiko DSM
    • Listen to confirm OK
    • Stop Playback in iTunes
    • Set AirPlay to Computer

  • Check Songcast/Spotify
    • Turn on Songcast - select Kitchen as Listen-To device
    • Play track from Spotify - listen to confirm OK
    • Soncast Off
  • Check Shared Playlists

    • load shared playlist into kitchen .....
  • Check Kinsky (and NAS)
    • Ensure all 6 rooms are visible
    • Select Playlist source for Kitchen
    • Add audio tracks from Linn Home Music NAS
    • Play track - listen to confirm OK
    • Check playback timer is incrementing
    • back to radio


Default Setup

  • Ensure all devices set to defaults
  • Listen in all 6 areas to check radio is playing as expected
