Installation

We recommend that your 119 loudspeakers are unpacked, installed and adjusted by an authorised Linn retailer.
To get the best from your 119 loudspeakers, it is important that they be positioned and levelled correctly.

We recommend that these speakers are "run-in" at moderate volume for a few hours from new, to bring out the best sound.

Positioning

As with any stereo loudspeaker, there are some fundamental principles which should be observed to get the best sound from your loudspeakers.

• The loudspeakers should be placed at an equal distance from the wall behind the loudspeakers.
• The speakers should be a similar (not the same) distance from the walls to the outside of each loudspeaker.
• Any toe-in applied should be the same for each loudspeaker.
• When used with stands, the loudspeakers should be level with all four spikes in contact with the floor. Use Linn Skeets for hard floors.

This should be installed and adjusted by an authorised Linn retailer.

The loudspeaker will need to be converted for Aktiv operation and connected to either:

• An Exaktbox or
• A Selekt DSM with 2 cartridges (each with its own DAC).

Note: There are no Aktiv cards available for the 119 loudspeaker. i.e. Aktiv crossover cards that fit with the the Linn Power Amplfiier.

The 119 can ONLY be setup Aktively with the two Selekt DSM cartridges or an Exaktbox.
