- On normal start-up the Lingo will bring the platter to 33RPM speed , this can typically take up to 20seconds. If you have selected 45RPM the LP12 platter will get to calibrated 33RPM and stabilise BEFORE switching to 45RPM mode. This is all automatic, so no change of behaviour is required.
- When the platter is up to the calibrated speed then the switch LED will then dim.
- If this is a new installation then the first time the Lingo 4 starts it will take a minute or so to calibrate to that deck, calibration is only done every few rotations to allow platter speed to settle between changes. The calibrated speed value for that deck is then saved in memory.
- The LP12 platter should never be manually stopped or slowed down when the motor is running (e.g. by cleaning brush...) Any action with the switch is fine at any time. Similarly it would be fine to just power off the Lingo 4 and let the deck spin down without using the LP12 switch. If the deck has forced to stop manually and at 45RPM it will then reset speed back to 33RPM.
