The Linn Akurate Music Server (AMS) is a media server offering high quality distribution of analog audio to up to 8 independent zones.
The device includes a CDROM drive for ripping your CD collection.
The AMS is controlled by the open Xiva protocol.
Linn supplies a a Xiva control interface called LinnTech. AMX and Crestron also supply high quality modules to control the AMS for the custom install market.
Please note that the AMS software up to Oct 2008 will only work on a NAS up to 2 TB in capacity.The software release from Oct 2008 (V4.1.0) will support NAS devices up to 32TB.
