Configuring the LinnGUI

The LinnGUI can be configured for different screen sizes, and input methods.

By default the LinnGUI will "guess" the most appropriate options for your computer. (For example, it will attempt to guess if you are running on a Laptop, and provide scroll-bars and a cursor). However, you may prefer to change the options selected by default.

This can be done by modifying the Windows short-cut, and applying the options here: LinnGUI and Kinsky Command Line Options

Configuring Twonky

Organising music on the NAS

It is possible to configure TwonkyMedia to treat "compilations" differently from traditional "albums". Any audio found under a specified compilations directory will be published by TwonkyMedia as Various Artists / Album. These tracks and artists will not show up in the usual Artists / Albums view. You will also find that the insert button "+" returns with this arrangement when navigating through your compilations.

The set-up is as follows:

Under TwonkyMedia set-up "Miscellaneous" page,

Compilation directories: [ compilations ]
Comma separated list of directories (or substrings) which shall be handled as
music compilations

You must also add a new Content Location. The compilations directory must:

  • be a separate "Content Location",
  • must not appear as a subdirectory of any other Content Location.
Content Locations:
[*] [ /Media/Music/flac ]
[*] [ /Media/Music/flac-compilations ]
